London’s Earls Court exhibition centre will almost certainly be pulled down after the 2012 Olympic Games, reports The Independent.
The building will host the volleyball tournament during the Games but it is then expected to make way for a huge redevelopment described as one of the most lucrative property opportunities in the centre of London for decades.
Any changes depend on support form Transport for London which owns a train depot behind the exhibition centre. Hammersmith and Fulham Council, which wants to redevelop two large housing estates, will also have a say.
