The first easyHotel has opened, in Earls Court, west London.
Stelios Haji-Ioannou hopes to expand the format through a franchise network across Europe.
The rooms are so small that The Times says: “Don’t even think about trying to swing a cat.
“You could barely hold a gerbil at arm’s length.”
The hotel comprises 34 double rooms in a Regency terrace building that was previously a run-down bed and breakfast.
