English Cities Fund has lodged plans with Salford City Council for the latest New Bailey office scheme.
The 113,000 sq ft, 11-storey office will also include ground-floor retail space and will be built on a plot opposite Two New Bailey.
The office sits in the £1bn Salford Central masterplan, which is being delivered by ECF – a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal & General and Homes England.
The office will focus on sustainability and wellbeing to help the Greater Manchester area meet its net zero targets.
Cushman & Wakefield and JLL are the joint lettings agents on the New Bailey scheme.
ECF development director Leon Guyett said: “Despite the unprecedented times that we find ourselves in, we are still seeing a demand for high-quality office space in the Greater Manchester region for a high-quality product, that not only provides an agile environment in which to work from that promotes colleague wellbeing, but also spaces that are adaptable and kind to the environment.”
The jv also won a contract earlier this year to be the development partner for the council and University of Salford’s £2.5bn Salford Crescent development.
