Eco Buildings Group, the UK-quoted modular housing company, has appointed Etrur Albani, its co-founder and non-executive board member, as the group’s executive vice chair.
In his new role, Albani will be responsible for managing existing client relationships as well as developing new contracts, working with chief executive Sanjay Bowry in setting and maintaining Eco’s strategy on how best to capture the rapidly growing demand for modular housing.
Albani said: “I have always believed in the potential for the modular housing sector and Eco’s role within this sector. Eco’s is uniquely positioned with a process that creates robust housing materials that are both low cost and of the highest ecological specifications.”
He added: “As the company’s largest shareholder, I want to assure our long-supporting as well as potential investors, that my efforts will be keenly focused on creating shareholder value and improving the performance of our shares.”
Eco was established in 2021, when the AIM listed company acquired the business and assets of Gulf Walling FZCO in Dubai.
The modular business comprises two divisions: Eco Buildings Group, which provides housing solutions based on glass fibre reinforced gypsum technology, and Fox Marble, which provides processed marble quarried in the Balkans for use in construction and development.
