Economic growth has come to a virtual standstill after output from the country’s manufacturing and construction industries shrank last month.
GDP rose by just 0.1% in October, and was flat in both September and August, as growth across various sectors of the economy stalled.
Only the services and agriculture sectors managed to increase output in October, according to the data from the Office for National Statistics.
