Ed Cook joins GVA restructuring team

GVA has appointed former Nama portfolio asset manager Ed Cook to its restructuring team.

Cook helped establish Ireland’s National Asset Management Agency and restructure some of its most complex underlying property assets, including the insolvency and subsequent sale of Battersea Power Station, SW8.

Prior to Nama, Cook was a chartered accountant at PwC in its restructuring and insolvency division, where he dealt with the insolvency of Lehman Brothers.

Ros Goode, head of restructuring solutions at GVA, said: “Having worked with a range of high-profile companies during periods of distress, including RBS and Nama, Ed brings a highly impressive track record.

“Ed has a rare combination of property and financial knowledge, with both accounting and banking experience, which will be a valuable addition to the team introducing a real differentiator to GVA’s business, enabling us to deliver broader services to our valued client base.”
