A public consultation on the masterplan for the Eden Quarter in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, will begin next month.
The town centre regeneration plans include the renovation of Eden Walk shopping centre with new homes, leisure and restaurant facilities.
Kingston council’s infrastructure, projects and contracts committee has agreed the terms of the draft development brief and it will be published for a six-week period of consultation, starting on 3 November.
Public meetings will be held on 13 November, 5 December and 6 December at Everyman Church Hall.
The area includes the Cattle Market car park, which is currently a blank canvas for development.
Eden Walk shopping centre owner Universities Superannuation Scheme is likely to bring forward the first major change in partnership with its development partner British Land.
