Edinburgh council has approved plans to build 226 student units along with 11,500 sq ft of retail and leisure space on Leith Walk in Edinburgh.
The £23m scheme by developer S Harrison utilises a vacant 0.5-acre site that originally formed part of Edinburgh’s historic Botanic Gardens.
The York-headquartered business recently completed a major mixed-use scheme in Lichfield and is considering new schemes in Stratford upon Avon, greater Manchester and the North East.
Work will start on the Leith Walk site in March and complete in September 2016.
