Edinburgh drops UK portfolio to focus on Europe

Edinburgh House Estates has sold its entire UK industrial portfolio as it steps up its investment programme in continental Europe.

The private company, led by David Roberts and Tony Quayle, has sold the 17-strong industrial portfolio for £86m, a 7% yield, to Scottish investment vehicle Dunedin Property.

The largest of the estates is the 650,000 sq ft Bentall Business Park in Washington, Tyne & Wear.

Edinburgh House has been planning its expansion into Germany for over six months, when it first entered the German property market.

Franc Warwick represented Edinburgh House. Dunedin was advised by Jones Lang LaSalle.
