JLL hangs onto the top spot despite a significant drop in space disposed of, while one big deal helps Savills soar. Nadia Elghamry reports
Going up SAVILLS
Savills climbed a massive eight places up the leaderboard, increasing its average deal size from 2,600 sq ft to 15,400 sq ft in this year’s Edinburgh league table. The agent signed a quarter of the deals done by JLL, but a letting to Standard Life at St Andrew Square boosted its average to push it up the ranks. Without that deal, Savills would sit at ninth place.

Going down JLL
JLL suffered the biggest drop in sq ft transacted, although this will hardly bother the top-ranking agent. Montagu Evans ad Ryden also registered similar drops, down 26% and 21% respectively.
The table covers disposals in Edinburgh (EH1, EH2, EH3, EH8, & EH12) for the period 01/03/2014 to 28/02/2015. Occupational sales and lettings are included (not investment sale). Joint agency deals are related to both agents. Last year’s position in brackets.
