Office take-up in Edinburgh is stronger than it has been for a decade.
Approximately 875,000 sq ft was transacted during 2014, up 13% from the previous year, and the highest level since 2004, according to JLL.
The total was boosted by the preletting of 108,000 sq ft at 6 St Andrew Square to Standard Life Investments in December 2014, the largest of its kind in more than a decade.
While construction of three new offices commenced in 2014 and more are due to start this year, no new developments are completing in 2015.
Ben Reed, regional director at JLL, said: “Occupiers with lease events in the next two years will have far less choice than they have had for a number of years.”
