The final shortlists for this year’s Estates Gazette Awards are out, with 10 entrants shortlisted in two Deal of the Year categories.
The first category recognises the impact of a deal on an individual business. On the shortlist are Axa for its £472m acquisition of Ropemaker Place; Bray Fox Smith for its purchase of 184 Shepherd’s Bush Road; Derwent London for its prelet to Publicis Group; DTZ for the disposal of RBS’s surplus property; and LondonMetric for the merger that created a £1bn REIT.
The second category recognises the impact of a single deal on the wider property industry. Shortlisted are Argent for attracting Google to King’s Cross; Deloitte for attracting ABP to the Royal Albert Dock; M&G for the £125m purchase of private-rented units in Stratford Halo; Patron Capital for leading the acquisition of CALA Group; and St Modwen for striking a development agreement for a new Swansea University campus.
The two final categories for this year’s awards – to be presented at the London Hilton on 12 December – were judged by the Estates Gazette editorial team.
