Henderson picks up shops
Henderson Global Investors has bought four shops from Redevco for £23.2m – a 7.8% yield. The properties include a Wilkinsons in Taunton, Somerset; an H&M in Portsmouth, Hampshire; and two Nexts in Middlesbrough, Yorkshire and Cambridge. Jones Lang LaSalle acted for Henderson; Redevco was unrepresented.
Bristol office sale sealed
PRUPIM has bought 10 Canons Way in Bristol from Crest Nicholson for £13m – a 7.6% yield. Half of the 50,000 sq ft office is let to law firm CMS Cameron McKenna; the remaining space is vacant. Jones Lang LaSalle and DTZ advised Crest; Ediston Properties acted for PRUPIM.
Aviva sells Sheffield shops
Aviva Investors has sold a 41,000 sq ft retail block at 8-24 High Street and 12-16 George Street in Sheffield to Sabra Properties for £11m – a 10% yield. The parade is let to McDonald’s, Boots, HMV and Max Spielmann. It produces £1.2m pa. BNP PRE acted for Sabra; Green & Partners advised Aviva.
Metric buys Lichfield park
Metric Property Investments has acquired Lichfield retail park in Staffordshire from Aviva Investors for £11m – a 6.6% yield. The 45,000 sq ft park is anchored by Wickes, Halfords, Sleepmasters, Pets at Home and Carpetright. Strutt & Parker represented Metric; CBRE acted for Aviva.
Thorstone irons laundry deal
White Knight Laundry Services has sold a residential development opportunity at 253-261 Kensal Road, W10, to Thorstone Land and Property for £4.7m. Thorstone is in talks with Kensington & Chelsea council to replace the former working laundry and houses with a 100,000 sq ft mixed-use scheme. Jones Lang LaSalle acted for White Knight; Thorstone was unrepresented.
