Duo does Ironman for cancer charity
On 1 July Kate Horton, City investment agent at Knight Frank, and Sam Logan, investment surveyor at Dorrington, took on an Ironman in Norway to raise cash for the Brain Tumour Charity.
The pair swam 3.8km, cycled 180km and ran a marathon, and have so far raised £20,000 for the charity.

Luminaries gather at London Real Estate Forum
EG hosted a dinner for 120 senior figures at this year’s London Real Estate Forum.
Jules Pipe, deputy mayor for planning, regeneration and skills, was among the guests, alongside investors, developers, occupiers and advisers from the capital, as well as delegates from Singapore, New York and Paris.
The dinner took place at Claridge’s and was sponsored by ABP and Al Marjan.
JLL celebrates LGBT professionals for Pride
To celebrate the 2018 London Pride festival on 7 July, JLL has adorned its London HQ on Warwick Street, W1, in the rainbow colours of the pride flag.
For the third year, JLL will be marching with Freehold, the leading networking forum for LGBT professionals working within the real estate sector.
Claire England, director of diversity and inclusion at JLL, said: “We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all of our people can be themselves and thrive, and are proud to once again be celebrating London Pride and also take part in Norwich Pride for the second year running.”
Barton Willmore riders cross France
A team of property professionals led by Barton Willmore has raised more than £30,000 for homeless charity Shelter by taking on the Raid Pyrenean road cycling challenge.
Hosted by BW Velo, the Barton Willmore cycling team, and riders from Bell Hammer, CEMEX, Land Improvements Holdings, Grosvenor, A2Dominion and David Morley Architects, completed the famous 720km coast-to-coast ride across France in 98 hours – just inside the set 100-hour window.
To add an extra element to the challenge, each of the amateur cyclists rode a Brompton bike for parts of the route. The Brompton will be auctioned to raise more funds.
CBRE launches ‘Our London’ initiative
CBRE has launched its “Our London” initiative to raise money for StreetSmart, which aims to help homeless people by enlisting the support of top restaurants in London.
The campaign celebrates the people and places that make up the capital, and began with the launch of a book, Perspectives on London, commissioned by CBRE, that features 50 Londoners sharing their experiences and memories of the capital.
Contributors include actor Timothy Spall, designer Sir Paul Smith and chef Angela Hartnett.
