Cushman & Wakefield will be hosting the third Rob Worboys Arran Challenge on 22 June in honour of the young property agent who died suddenly in 2016.
Teams from Aberdeen Standard Investments, ACCA, Corran Properties, Pinsent Masons, Dentons, New River Retail and Royal Bank of Scotland are among those who have already signed up to take part in the Isle of Arran cycling event.
The money raised will be going to a variety of charities, including Cardiac Risk in the Young, Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice and SAMH. The event has already raised £40,000 for charity.
It is hoped this year’s challenge will raise a further £10,000, hitting the target of £50,000 in total.

Wates says no to plastic waste
National developer Wates Residential is swapping single-use plastic cups for reusable bottles on all its sites in a bid to tackle the plastics crisis.
Wates has launched a pilot scheme at its Abbey Area redevelopment in Camden – a suggestion put forward by employee Denise Southard, a document controller and community champion, following the BBC’s documentary Blue Planet II. The business is now committed to rolling out the change across all its 20 sites.
Previously, the Abbey Area redevelopment used an estimated 120,000 cups per year, which cost just over £1,300. Over a 10-year period, Wates estimates that swapping to reusable bottles could save approximately £4,350 per site, as well as reducing landfill by around 5,000kg and helping to reduce litter and marine pollution.
Paul Nicholls, managing director of Wates Residential South, commented: “We hope this commitment will drive change across our sites and lead to new ambitions in the wider industry. We believe cutting down on avoidable plastic waste is the right thing to do and we are proud to be doing our bit to protect our Blue Planet.”
