The final stop on the EG Focus reception tour for 2014 was Glasgow and the welcome was as warm as ever. Coming just a few weeks after the referendum in early October, there was a palpable sense of relief that the uncertainty about the vote was over but a little lack of confidence remains about new tax regimes and what powers Scotland might gain from the so-called ‘devo max’. Any signs of a rapid bounce back in the property market post-referendum were yet to materialise.
