Australian fund manager EG Group has launched a A$400m (£191m) fund to invest in energy-efficient refurbishment projects in its home country.
The Clean Energy Finance Corporation, part of the Australian federal government, has committed A$125m as a cornerstone investor and EG is now looking for new investors including those located in Europe.
EG is part of the Robert Houston’s St Bride’s Global alliance, which brings together different companies with complementary skills to work alongside each other in the UK, Spain, the US, Australia and Germany.
EG has around $1.5bn of assets under management.
