EG Residential – The world’s most expensive homes

Four out of the 10 most expensive residences on the planet are in the UK – more than any other country.

The Queen’s official London home came in at number one, with Kensington in south-west London racking up three more of the top 10, according to comparison site CompareCamp.com.

The accolade of the most expensive apartment in the world goes to the $400m (£260m) Odeon Tower penthouse in Monaco.

Opera Winfrey sits on the most expensive celebrity home, and Ireland’s $68m Ashford Castle wins the title of the world’s most expensive castle.
