We were back on our virtual stage today for the fourth EG Tech Awards. This year marked the second digital event and, as a result of taking last year’s awards online, our first truly global one. Proof, if it was needed, that change driven by necessity so often reveals that a new way of doings things should be the longer-term norm.
Of course, we miss seeing everyone under one roof, especially in times of celebration. But hosting the Tech Awards online has given the event the power of accessibility. This year we were able to open the categories up to more people and more companies doing incredible things in real estate tech across the world. We have seen entries rocket to 240 across 13 countries in 2021. There is nothing quite like watching this event grow year on year, just like the sector it was set up to celebrate.
And celebrate we did. After another atypical year for real estate, technology and the world at large we wanted to give our finalists and winners a ceremony that reflected the successes they have collectively and individually achieved over the past 12 months.
A huge thank you to everyone who made the event happen and to our partners for their continued support as we forge ahead with the online format. Congratulations to all of our winners. We can’t wait to see everyone again in 2022.
