Sixty-four judges. Eight judging sessions. Two days.
Sandwiches and pastries, paper and iPads everywhere.
Gallons of coffee and intense debate.
Seventeen lists whittled down to 17 exceptional shortlists.
The upshot? Sixty-nine businesses remain in contention to win a prestigious Estates Gazette Award.
And with the contenders for the Collaborators and Rising Star Awards shortlists only just announced, with the Next Big Thing yet to be revealed, the focus will soon be on the Grosvenor House Hotel, W1, where the awards will be presented on 20 September.
So who made the shortlist? And who made some of the toughest calls in property?
It’s time for their close-up.
Industry-wide recognition aside, EG Awards winners will benefit by being one of only a few property achievers to own one of our limited edition trophies. Designed by starchitect Simon Allford, the EG Awards trophy is a tribute to innovation. It is a towering stack of interlocking Es and Gs representing ambition, craftsmanship and clarity.
The trophies were 3D printed by HOBS Studio and are designed to sparkle under bright lights and camera flashes.
