EGi launches European strategic alliance

Estates Gazette has announced a strategic partnership with Reed Midem, organisers of MIPIM, Europe’s largest real estate exhibition, to develop specialised Internet services for the European marketplace, including information on offices for sale and let across the continent.

EGi‘s electronic publishing director, Jim Muttram, said: “The commercial real estate scene has become increasingly international, driven by large multi-national companies and investors who want similar data on many different markets. This exciting alliance gives us a firm foundation to address that need.”

Estates Gazette already provides sales and lettings information on the UK market via EGPropertylink, an open access commercial property listing service with over 8,000 properties. Reed Midem is a global exhibition business with offices in Paris, Dusseldorf, Amsterdam and Milan.

EGi also announced the appointment of Ted Townsend as new media business manager, with a brief to seek further alliances, acquisitions and investments.

“Not only are we looking at a radical new web interface, but we’re also looking at delivering the information via a mobile phone, as a lot of surveyors need our information when they are out of the office”, Townsend said.
