Tuesday
Kier will update shareholders on its trading performance. The company managed to maintain a strong order book, thanks to bidding discipline and risk management embedded across the business.
Oxford City Council is minded to approve a major regeneration scheme in the west of the city, known as Oxpens. The 15-acre development, to be delivered by OxWED, a joint venture company owned by Nuffield College and Oxford City Council, will create a new mixed-use neighbourhood, featuring 234 homes, 258 student rooms, 500,000 sq ft of labs or office space and a 250-bedroom hotel.
Westminster Council is expected to make a decision on Grosvenor’s plans to retrofit and extend an office asset in Belgravia. The makeover will add 17,644 sq ft of office space to the building, albeit with a 1,836 sq ft reduction in the food and beverage space on the ground floor.
Wednesday
Pub operator JD Wetherspoon is scheduled to shed light on its performance over recent months. The firm is on the hunt for space at London Bridge station, Fulham Broadway Underground station and Manchester Airport, with a total of nine pubs expected to be opened by mid-summer this year.
Vale of White Horse District Council is expected to approve Advanced Research Clusters’ proposed Tech Edge West scheme at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The development will provide almost 70,000 sq ft of office and lab space.
Edinburgh Council is set to refuse proposals for 900 homes in the city owing to their non-compliance with the local development plan. The schemes include Barratt and David Wilson’s proposed 400 homes on agricultural land on the south-eastern edge of the city and 500 homes proposed by West Craigs and Wheatley Homes East in the green belt in the western part of the city.
Thursday
Housing developer and operator Watkin Jones will report its results for the year ended 30 September 2024. Most recently, the firm inked a Merseyside development deal with Torus and is now hunting for a partner for its co-living scheme in Leeds.
Manchester City Council’s planning committee has been recommended to approve regeneration plans for Holt Town, in the east of the city, following positive feedback from a public consultation last year. The proposals include the development of a mixed-use neighbourhood with 4,500 homes and 30,000 sq ft of affordable workspace.
