Tuesday
Property Franchise Group is expected to post positive interim results, with more than doubled revenue and more than a 60% increase in both management service fees and sales agreed pipeline. In its most recent trading update last month, Gareth Samples, chief executive, expressed confidence that the firm’s trading will remain “at least” in line with market expectations for the remainder of 2024.
Liverpool City Council’s cabinet has been recommended to vote in favour of a competitive procurement exercise to appoint a developer to lead on creating a masterplan for the 28-acre International Festival Gardens site. If approved, Montagu Evans bring an opportunity, which has a GDV of between £150m and £300m, to market in October this year.
The City of London planning committee will decide whether offices at Murray House on Beech Street, EC2, should be turned into 174 co-living homes. The project, brought forward by Hub Residential and Bridges Fund Management, has been recommended for approval despite 66 public objections.
Cheshire East Council’s planning committee will decide the future of a proposed new village to the south-east of Crewe. Bloor Homes’s plans to deliver 650 homes alongside the restoration of the historic parkland have been recommended for approval by planning officers.
Wednesday
Latest GDP data is expected to show some growth in the UK economy. Analysts estimate the figures to have increased by 0.6% in the period from April to June 2024, following an increase of 0.7% in January to March quarter this year. Year-on-year, GDP is expected to have increased by 0.9% in the second quarter of 2024.
Camden Council’s planning committee will have on the table Regal London’s proposals for £125m student accommodation next to the Grade II listed Roundhouse venue at Chalk Farm Road, NW1. Officers have recommended the approval of the development of four new blocks varying in height from six to 12 storeys, comprising 265 student bedrooms, 24 affordable homes and nearly 9,000 sq ft of ground-floor commercial space.
Thursday
Private medical hospitals provider Spire Healthcare will update on its performance over the first six months of this year. In its most recent trading update back in May, the company has hinted that its trading has continued to be strong and reiterated the outlook for the full year.
Regenerator of land and property Harworth Group will also put out its interim results in the morning, which are expected to show strong performance across planning approvals and land sales. In a trading update at the end of July, the company marked the demand for industrial and logistics space in the regions as the main driver of its growth.
Bond Wolfe’s latest auction, with 202 lots, takes place. Birmingham City Council will be offering five commercial properties and ground rents, including at 8 Bullock Street, 64 Cato Street, 155 Dollman Street, 212 Thimble Mill Lane and 253-255 Great Lister Street.
The findings from a monthly sentiment survey of chartered surveyors who operate in the residential sales and lettings markets will also be released. In July, the RICS UK Residential Market Survey signalled steady buyer demand with brightening near-term outlook.
One-day laboratory design conference will take place in Manchester, providing an insight into the latest innovations and opportunities within sustainable lab delivery and operation. Hosted by S+B, the industry will hear opinions from experts, including Dace Dimza-Jones, deputy head of Northern Powerhouse for life sciences at the department for business and trade, through presentations and panel discussions.
Friday
