Buy-to-let landlord Fergus Wilson is facing legal action over his lettings policy after it emerged earlier this year that he had emailed a letting agency saying no coloured tenants because of the curry smell.
An injunction is being sought by the Equality and Human Rights Commission. Chief executive Rebecca Hilsenrath said it had asked the court if it agreed Wilson’s lettings policy contained unlawful criteria.
Wilson said he was confident he could defeat the EHRC in court.
