Electronic imaging

There is no doubt that videos provide a most effective communications medium, and one that has already been exploited to some extent by estate agents and developers (eg for planning appeals). But to produce something that matches the high standards we are used to on television has, until now, been a difficult and expensive process. TeleSnaps claim, however, that they have introduced a revolutionary system that enables a broadcast standard video to be produced for the typical cost of a business lunch for four. The TeleSnap system, called EISPack after “electronic imaging from stills”, enables up to 300 separate images to be made using simple, easy-to-follow instructions. The user sends the completed instructions and stills to TeleSnaps who use their own specially developed Broadcast Standard technology to create the video, sequencing, timing, cutting, fading and dissolving images as required.

Images can be held on screen for between one and ten seconds, television-style captions or subtitles can be used and background music is included at no extra charge. Voice-over is available at a nominal £10 per running minute. The finished video is returned to the user 48 hours after receipt by TeleSnaps.

The complete EISPack, which comes in its own neat carrying case, costs £495 plus VAT. Further information from Marcus Brierley, TeleSnaps plc, Peel House, Peel Road, Skelmersdale, Lancashire WN8 9PT (0695 21356).
