Ellis Brown promotes new director

Ellis Brown Commercial, an agency launched two years ago to focus on office deals in the City Fringe, has named a new director as the firm makes a name for itself in the sub-market.

Lucy Cooper joins agency founders Chris Antoniou and James Taylorson as a director of the business. One of the agency’s first employees, she had previously spent three years at Daniel Watney and two years as a sales coordinator at Savills.

Cooper has been directly involved in 60 transactions since joining Ellis Brown, totalling 175,000 sq ft. In her new role, she will focus on office leasing and acquisitions for both tenants and landlords.

So far this year, Ellis Brown ranks seventh in EG’s On-Demand Rankings for investment and leasing deals in the City Fringe, having worked on 25 transactions spanning almost 68,500 sq ft.

This means the agency has already equalled its deal count from 2021, when its transactions totalled 56,361 sq ft, placing it 13th on the table.

Deals Cooper has worked on have included leasing The Grain House, SE1, and closing on a space in Clerkenwell for tech business Vouchercodes.  More recently Cooper has helped pitch and secure a leasing mandate at Blackrock’s Saffron House, EC1.
