Emmett to head new HIG vehicle

Graham-Emmett-THUMB.jpegGraham Emmett has left Cheyne Capital to join HIG Capital as head of its new structured finance function.

Emmett’s arrival at HIG will see the business create a new debt vehicle separate from its Bayside Capital business.

In so doing, the company will also lose David Hunter from a position as senior adviser, who as a board member of ICG Longbow was conflicted with the new business.

Emmett was previously an investment partner at Cheyne, heading the firm’s listed real estate debt vehicle.

The move to HIG will see him continue his 25-year career in a role overseeing structured finance for the UK and Europe.

In addition to his time at Cheyne, Emmett had been a partner at ICG Longbow, on the management team of NAMA and a member of Goldman Sachs’ special situations group.
