Empiric Student Property has appointed Stuart Beevor as an independent non-executive director, effective 1 January.
Beevor is the former managing director of Grosvenor Fund Management and was also managing director at Legal and General Property, as well as a non-executive director on the board of The Unite Group for nine years.
His current directorships include positions at ICG-Longbow Senior Secured UK Property Debt Investments, Metropolitan Housing Trust and two segregated pension fund investment committees managed by DTZ Investors.
Baroness Dean, chairman of Empiric, said: “[Beevor] brings with him a wealth of experience in the property sector, generally, but in particular within the private purpose built student accommodation sector. We look forward to working with Stuart and benefiting from his industry knowledge.”
