The Reading headquarters of energy giant BG Group at Thames Valley Park has been put up for sale for £90m.
The 64,215 sq ft 100 Thames Valley Park Drive is managed by Lancer Asset Management on behalf of a private Middle Eastern investor. Nightingale Partners is advising on the sale.
BG Group, which was acquired by Royal Dutch Shell last year for£35bn, has a lease that expires in 2026.
The 200-acre park is home to tenants including Microsoft and US tech firm Oracle. Both have separate campuses on the site.
Jon Gardiner, head of office agency at Savills, which is the leasing agent on the 74,228 sq ft TVP2 office at the park, said: “Thames Valley Park has been the undisputed king of business parks in the region for the technology sector, although with BG Group’s campus also on the park, it has always enjoyed a sense of corporate prestige amongst the key competition.
“Even during the challenging times of the early to mid-2000s the park enjoyed virtually full occupancy.”
All parties involved in the sale declined to comment.
