Enfield Council has submitted a hybrid planning application for a £770m regeneration of the Joyce Avenue and Snell’s Park Estate in Angel Edmonton, N18.
The HTA-designed regeneration project spans 17 acres and will include 1,021 homes for private sale, 619 for social rent, 218 for shared ownership, and 125 available through a shared equity scheme.
It will also involve 30,000 sq ft of civic and community space; 32,000 sq ft of commercial and retail space; 9,000 sq ft of employment space; a 3,000 sq ft nursery; and 350,000 sq ft of open space and public realm.
The application is for detailed planning permission for phases 0-3 of the scheme, consisting of the demolition of 12 existing residential blocks and the development of 530 homes across eight acres. It also seeks outline planning permission for phases 4-10 of the proposed development.
