Enfield council is searching for a developer to deliver a £1.5bn resi-led scheme in Enfield, EN1.
The scheme, named Meridian Water, has received housing zone status and will deliver 8,000 mixed-tenure homes with a large portion allocated for private rent.
The council has completed the acquisition of 22 acres of the 210-acre plot and is in negotiations with surrounding landowners.
The project will involve relocating the Angel Road train station to the south, following this the station will be renamed Meridian Water Station.
Network Rail has also approved funding to develop a new train track at the station.
