The average English home is the smallest in Europe, according to research by data agency Reckless.
At 71.90m², the average English home is considerably smaller than its equivalent in Italy, at 108.21m². In France, the average floor space measures 79.57m².
Outside of the major cities, the size of the average English home rises to 71.16m².
