English Partnerships to create urban village in Telford

English Partnerships (EP) has submitted a Development Framework (pictured) for Lawley, a 247-acre brownfield former coalmining area of Telford, Shropshire.

EP hopes that Telford & Wrekin council will approve the framework by the end of this year, at which point EP will consider various options for seeking one or more development partners.

The framework will include 3,000 homes, 19,193 sq ft of offices, 32,293 sq ft of retail, a hotel, a pub, a gym and a community building.

Lawley will be split into four neighbourhoods – Newdale Valley, Lawley Village, Lawley Bank and Newdale – centring on Lawley Square, a public transport hub.
