English Partnerships (EP) is looking to attract overseas cash to bolster its UK development strategy.
The Government’s regeneration company has appointed GVA Grimley to handle its global joint venture initiative, which will identify and manage possible overseas investors for EP projects.
An EP spokesman said: “We saw the international interest as an untapped market. Before we didn’t actively seek foreign investors, but we got a lot of overseas interest in projects like Omega and Kings Waterfront through our Strategic Sites Database.”
Other bidders for the contract included DTZ, Arthur Anderson, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young.
Michael Corbett, chief executive of GVA Grimley and chairman of GVA Worldwide, said: “It is a challenging assignment, drawing on not only our own UK resources but that of our global partners in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia, who will help us to assess where the real investment interest lies.”
