An entrepreneur has been barred from flattening a bungalow on the Sandbanks peninsula in Dorset, after buying it for £13.5m.
Tom Glanfield’s plans to bulldoze the “mouldy cottage” and build an eco-home in its place have been rejected by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council.
The council has instead nominated the Edwardian property for inclusion on the local heritage list, which would give it the status of a non-designated heritage asset.
