The founder of Black Diamond Capital Management has bought a pair of Caribbean islands belonging to deceased sex offender Jeffery Epstein for $60m (£48m).
Stephen Deckoff plans to turn the two islands – Great St James and Little St James – into a 24-bedroom hotel, opening in 2025.
The two islands were put up for sale with a $125m asking price over a year ago. Funds raised from the sale will be used to settle lawsuits against Epstein and compensate his victims.
