EQT Exeter and Sigma Capital Group have agreed an additional £135m debt package from NatWest, sourced from Allied Irish Bank and Dutch-bank NIBC.
The joint venture was launched in September 2020 to provide approximately 3,000 build-to-rent homes, with a total value of more than £1bn in Greater London and commuter towns.
The homes are operated under Sigma Capital’s “Simple Life London” brand and are offered at affordable rent based on each location’s average household income.
The jv agreed an initial debt package of £150m with NatWest and Leumi UK in February 2022. The additional debt package of £135m brings the total funding for EQT and Sigma Capital’s housing project to £285m.
The flexible debt package will support both current schemes and acquisitions planned for 2023.
