Hammerson has signed two deals with escape room operator Escape Hunt at its Cabot Circus shopping centre in Bristol and Martineau Galleries in Birmingham.
It has taken a 3,820 sq ft unit in Cabot Circus and 4,262 sq ft in Martineau Galleries.
Escape Hunt, which launched in 2013, typically requires players to solve a crime story or mystery.
Leisure now accounts for 14% of Hammerson’s portfolio by floor space, an increase of a third over the past five years. It has recently concluded lettings across its portfolio to operators including Treetop Adventure Golf and Showcase Cinema de Lux.
Sarah Fox, head of restaurants and leisure at Hammerson, said, “Securing an innovative tenant such as this ensures our destinations offer visitors not only the best retail mix, but also a compelling range of leisure outlets that are engaging and exciting.”
