Windmill Systems have just announced that they are about to launch their “Partner” residential and commercial agency system on the new low-priced Amstrad PC range. Windmill state that the system uses database techniques combined with integrated word processing and specific agency programs.
Partner has been packaged specially for the new Amstrad and the price of £995 includes processor, screen, keyboard, mouse, printer, cables and software (alternatively collect the tops from three boxes of cornflakes and complete the phrase “I still refuse to spend money on computers because …”).
Partner contains a database interchange facility which permits the import and export of data to and from other packages such as word processors and spreadsheets. Partner systems are generated by Windmill’s own database specialists, and it is claimed that this allows users to use the system without the need to learn any programming techniques. All remote multi-user Partner systems are linked to Windmill HQ by telecommunications lines and, hence, diagnostic support is only a telephone call away.
