Estate agents are expecting to sell more homes at higher prices this year, says RICS.
It’s monthly survey of estate agents, undertaken in December, showed a rise in reported sales for the first time since May 2019, but also a belief that prices and volumes would rise across the UK in 2020.
A balance of 66% of members surveyed said they expected a rise in sales.
Buyer demand, measured by the number of new enquiries, has also risen, with 17% more Rics members reporting a rise than a fall. That figure stood at minus 5% in November.
