Gulf Keystone Petroleum, an oil operator and producer in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, has agreed a lease at the Eton College-owned Brownlow Yard in Bloomsbury.
Gulf Keystone has agreed a five-year lease for a 4,194 sq ft office on the first floor of the building, for which the asking rent was £71.50 per sq ft, according to EG Radius data.
The company has left its former base at 8-10 New Fetter Lane, EC4, and will join fellow tenants such as talent management agency 16NinetyTwo Sports and music publishing company Faber Music in Brownlow Yard.
Located on 12 Roger Street, WC1, the 18,876 sq ft office was bought by Eton College in 2019 for £12.9m, according to EG Radius data, and has since been refurbished to achieve an EPC B rating and a CAT A+ fit-out.
Camilla Powell-Tuck, associate director at Clearbell Capital said that successful letting of the building was “a reflection of the exceptional spaces we’ve been able to deliver as part of our upgrades to this scheme”.
She added: “Coupled with Bloomsbury’s unique proposition as a thriving neighbourhood with enviable amenities and it’s clear why the space has proved to be a real draw for tenants.”
