Europa Capital and UK property company St Congar have received outline approval of their planning application for 880 new homes.
The new development will be in Toads Hole Valley in Hove, East Sussex, the largest greenfield site in the Brighton & Hove City Plan which has been identified for the delivery of much-needed housing. A total of 40% of the homes will be affordable.
The development will also have around 270,000 sq ft of office space, a secondary school, a neighbourhood centre and a doctors’ surgery.
The two firms formed a partnership for the development in 2016.
James Pennington, managing director of asset and portfolio management at Europa Capital, said: “Toads Hole Valley will create a vibrant new community, delivering modern homes and community space for Hove in line with the council’s local plan.
“Achieving outline planning consent is an important milestone for this scheme which has involved a number of partners working together to promote this fantastic site through the planning system.”
