Europa founders to leave firm

Europa-Capital-logo-THUMB.jpegEuropa Capital co-founders Charles Graham and Noel Manns are leaving the firm on 30 September, according to a document issued by the San Diego City Employees’ Retirement System.

Graham and Manns have already sold their shares in Europa ahead of the move, the SDCERS’s 2016 first-quarter review said.

The document by SDCERS, which has invested more than $20m (£15m) in Europa, said the two will “officially step back from their duties on the executive and other committees” at the end of September. However, they “will remain available to the firm if necessary until March 31, 2017”.

In August, James Fortescue and Hugo Black were promoted to partners at Europa, focusing on the UK, Benelux and Nordics.

Europa is targeting €750m (£633m) for its fifth pan-European fund, Europa Fund V. Fund IV completed more than €800m in transactions in 2015.

From January: Europa completes €800m of transactions
