The interlinked office complex, which consists of five towers with 1.7m sq ft of space, is considered the largest office in Europe.

It was bought from an affiliate of Lone Star Real Estate Fund III.

The building was completed in 2001 and bought by Lehman Brothers for €2.1bn in 2007.

It was put up for sale with a €1.3bn value in 2013, before LoneStar took control in 2014.

Jean-Jacques Duchamp, deputy chief executive of Crédit Agricole Assurances, said : “We are proud to announce the acquisition of Europe’s largest commercial real estate complex, which offers today’s highest standards in construction.”

The buyers were advised by White & Case, while Morgan Stanley, Rothschild and JLL advised LoneStar.
