The fire which swept through the Channel Tunnel on Monday is costing Eurotunnel £1m a day in lost revenues, it was claimed yesterday.
However, the group says it is expecting insurers to meet most of the costs. Eurotunnel has been plagued by debts – it owes around £8.8bn.
