Shed developer Evans of Leeds hopes to cash in on the lack of big stock sheds in Staffordshire by building a 400,000 sq ft speculative warehouse at its Fradley Park development near Lichfield.
It will submit a planning application to East Staffordshire council for a total 1m sq ft at the 300-acre industrial and distribution scheme on the A38.
Robert Rae of North Rae Sanders, the joint letting agent with GVA Grimley for Fradley Park’s third phase, said: “We’re focusing on large distribution and warehouse operators.
“The site can accommodate buildings from 100,000 sq ft to 1m sq ft, which is a unique opportunity.”
Food distributor 3663 has signed for a 126,500 sq ft speculative unit, at around £4.75 per sq ft, on Evans’ completed second phase.
GVA Grimley, adviser on all three phases of Fradley Park, and Kingston & Partners, which advises on phase two, acted for Evans. Atisreal advised 3663.
