Evans Randall Investors has promoted James Edwards and Ned Williams to the position of managing director. They will now join co-founders Kent Gardner and Paul Kendrick as shareholders in the business.
The appointments will see Edwards and Williams assume responsibility for the day-to-day management of the private equity real estate business and reflects their involvement in some of the company’s most significant deals of the past decade.
Gardner and Kendrick will continue as directors, concentrating on the strategic direction and leadership of the firm, with Kendrick becoming chairman.
Evans Randall Investors has completed more than £9bn of transactions since entering the real estate market nearly two decades ago, with its investment strategies spanning core long-income investments through to value-add and opportunistic development opportunities.
The company is now supplementing this activity with additional real estate strategies linked to macro themes of electrification and decarbonisation, which are increasingly leading to the business exploring diverse property investment opportunities and partnerships across the UK.
Kent Gardner said: “Both James and Ned have played integral roles in the growth and success of our business over the past 10 years. Their expertise spans the investment cycle, from the bottom-of-the-market acquisition of Milton Gate in 2009 to the completion of Bureau, our most recent development project. These changes to our organisational structure will ensure the continued growth, development and diversification of our business interests.”
James Edwards added: “Ned and I are delighted to join Kent and Paul as shareholders in the business. Right now, demand for real assets is increasing, while at the same time sub-sector dislocation and macro thematic influences are becoming ever more relevant. It is an exciting time to be positioning our business for its next phase of growth.”
