Dart for success
The agents and landlords going head-to-head in a race across the English Channel later this month are a step closer after completing the Dart 10km swim.
The open-water contest was the third and final clash before the five agents and five landlords take on the SEA BREEAM charity challenge.
Rob West of Clearbell came first, finishing the swim from Totnes to Dittisham in a time of 2:24:27. But it was the agents who won the event overall, taking the cumulative scores across all events so far to 78-103 in favour of the landlords. However, with 30 points going to the team that wins the Channel swim, it is still anyone’s game.

Through the pane barrier
Deloitte’s head of London development, Clive Pane, was among 800 cyclists to conquer the epic route from Land’s End to John O’ Groats in the firm’s Ride Across Britain challenge.
Deloitte had 240 partners and clients in the pack, who set off on 5 September and had nine days to chase down 960 miles across 23 counties. “Knackered, but happy” was Pane’s short description of his achievement, posted on Twitter, which was buzzing with updates on the #DeloitteRB15 hashtag.
Paralympians Jody Cundy and Tim Reddish, chairman of one of the event’s charities, the British Paralympian Association, were among the challengers, who raised £450,000.
Hogan Lovells and BDP cyclists also took part.
London to Brighton for £8,000
Kitted out in canary yellow lycra, 45 riders cycled from London to Brighton on 6 September in aid of the Josh Carrick Foundation.
Savills’ head of marketing, Steve Carrick, was joined by friends, family and colleagues, including a team from Estates Gazette, in the fourth annual ride, which raised more than £8,000.
The foundation was set up in memory of Carrick’s late son, Josh, and aims to fund research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of testicular cancer.
