Surveyors get in the swim
Scottish surveying firm Graham + Sibbald is backing star swimmer Craig Benson’s medal campaign for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
The firm has provided Benson with a flat in Edinburgh so he no longer has to endure a lengthy commute from Livingston to Edinburgh University where he studies, and to training sessions at the Commonwealth Pool.
Benson said: “My new flat is going to make all the difference to my training schedule and now I have a flat in the capital, I can really focus on the year ahead and hope to do my very best for Scotland at the Games.”
Graham + Sibbald’s Les McAndrew said the firm was hoping to be poolside at the Games to see Craig take a gold medal next year.
“We hope our Rising Star sponsorship will support Craig during this crucial period of his development and help him to fulfil his dreams,” he said.

Moustachioed 22 clock up £1,000
Another year and another Movember goes by. Among property’s moustache growers this year were no less than 22 of Birketts’ workforce.
The law firm’s Mo Bros all face the barber for a cut-throat shave on 2 December after raising more than £1,000 to support research into testicular cancer. Good luck and congratulations to all those who took part.
