Eversheds Sutherland confirms Manchester letting

Legal practice Eversheds Sutherland has confirmed it has picked Aviva Investors’ Two New Bailey Square as its new Manchester office.

As reported by EG last year, the law firm has taken space in the building, which has been delivered by a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal & General and Homes England.

Eversheds Sutherland has taken around 50,000 sq ft of offices on the eighth, ninth and 10th floors of the development on a 15-year lease.

As part of the agreement, it will have its own ground-floor reception.

Cushman & Wakefield and JLL are joint agents for New Bailey, with Cushman & Wakefield acting on the scheme’s behalf for the deal and OBI Property on behalf of Eversheds Sutherland.

Eversheds Sutherland has relocated from Eversheds House on Great Bridgewater Street, which was home to the law firm for nearly 20 years.

Aviva Investors confirmed in March last year that it had agreed a £113m forward-funding deal for the development.
